Not only is Charles City America's Hometown, it's my hometown. I graduated from Charles City High School in 1980 and the University of Northern Iowa in 1984. After graduation I worked first as a stockbroker and then as a sales manager until the expansion of Larry Stewart Realty presented me with the opportunity to move back home and work with my father in 1988. When I bought the firm from him 20 years later, Stewart Realty Company became the first second-generation agency in the area.
The year I moved back to Charles City, I married my high school sweetheart, Sara Fluhrer. Sara works as a speech language pathologist at Floyd County Medical Center, and we have three very active sons, Ryan, Nick, and Adam.
In addition to the boys' church, music and sporting events, I stay involved in the community through a variety of leadership positions. I've taken turns as director, secretary, treasurer, vice-president and president of the Cedar Valley Board of REALTORS®. I've also been a member and past President of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Charles City School Board Advisory Committee, and a past president of the local chapter of Rotary International. With my family, I attend Bethany Alliance Church, where I have served as a middle school and high school youth leader.
As owner of Stewart Realty Company, I'm proud of the firm's tradition of excellence in customer service. Special thanks to my clients who have partnered with the firm and me since 1987. Your patronage and referrals are most appreciated. I look forward to continuing to work with you as you buy, sell, or lease your property.
